Spaghetti Squash Shelf Life

I have recently discovered my love for spaghetti squash so I'm afraid next time I go to the store the spaghetti squash will be gone or something. Do stores carry it year round? I live in the midwest so produce is iffy. Does anyone know a typical shelf life for a spaghetti squash is? I did some researching but was finding very mixed answers. Thanks!

    They will likely not be available all year, but I believe they will last for a few months.

    I think I'll stock up to be safe. If I buy some, bake them and remove the insides, then freeze that part, do you think that would work?

    Leave them whole and store them in a dry, cool place. I store my winter squash (spaghetti, butternut, etc.) in my unheated garage attached to my house. It is above freezing but always cool. They last for months that way. You may lose the texture after reheating them from frozen/cooked.

    Very true. I'm not sure where to store them though. My garage is no warmer than it is outside and lately it's been well below zero. I will figure something out as to where to store them, they are too good to not have until next season!
