Hi,

I want to buy a heart rate monitor so I can track how many calories I burn more accurately. But there seem to be so many out there.. Which one is best value for money? The exercise I do is strength training and cardio at the gym.

Thanks
Clara

Both the FT4 & FT7 are good for men or women. The only difference between the two, I believe, is that the FT7 stores a longer history and is downloadable to your computer. It's up to you if these extra features justify the added expense.
  • It seems like the difference in price only is £5 on amazon so I thought I could get the FT7 if the difference is so small =)

I have an FT7 and like it very much. Being able to track your calories burned
is quite the motivator. I find myself doing jumping jacks to burn those last 15
calories to get an even 400 calorie burn, etc . . lol

I shopped on ebay and got it for $85 (retails for $119)
  • I have ordered an FT7F now (the last F stands for female, doesn't it?) and I paid £60.. so excited! lol

Problem with Polar is you have to send them in to get batteries replaced for the majority of their models..a deal breaker for me.
I am waiting for the Nike fuel bracelet to go public..hopefully its as good as the hype
