How should I approach the next phase of this journey?

So I've lost about 54kg to date through calorie deficits and cardio. I think I have a further 8 to 10kg of fat to lose but probably only want to be around 4 or 5kg lighter.
I've added weights to my exercise routine three to four times a week about a month ago and am starting to see some definition forming. I haven't done weights for a long time and I'm in the noobie gains stage.
However, I'm not sure whether I should be continuing with a calorie deficit (currently 1lb a week ~0.5kg a week) in order to get closer to the goal weight and continue to strip the fat or whether I should be moving to maintenance or even above to build more muscle before then dropping the calorie count. Thoughts?
