Spreading Myself Too Thin

Recently I found out that I had dropped down to 179 pounds and am now in the category of what some would call "skinny fat." While everyone in my circle is saying that this enough and that I should cease losing weight, I do not feel satisfied. While I have dropped from a size 40 to a size 32 pant size I still have copious amounts of excess fat around my belly area that I want to get rid of. Recently, I hired a personally trainer which has started me on an interval training regime and a very strict diet to meet my goals in a few months or so which requires me to do intense exercises for a little over an hour. My parents with which I live who have been ambiguous in regards to their support are now becoming very hostile towards my goals calling me a "fanatic" and "unrealistic." This has me very down so to speak. What do you guys think. Are my goals for a flat stomach "unrealistic" and should I stop pursuing them to appease my parents?

Firstly Good Job on your weight loss. Pat yourself on the back. And although your goals are lofty, they are doable. Yes they will require discipline and you might want to consider giving yourself more time if it will please your parents and that's what you want to do. However remember that it is YOUR life. YOU are allowed to do with it whatever you see fit as long as it doesn't interfere directly with someone else's life. Perhaps its not weight that you are trying to lose. Perhaps people will respond better to
"putting on muscle".0 -
If your goals are truly unrealistic, you will fail. If they're not? You will succeed. I think we are capable of anything we set our minds to. If you are able-bodied and want to do this, GO FOR IT! It's worth trying if it means a lot to you, absolutely. I think your parents should be more supportive, but try to keep in mind they're most likely just worried about you - sometimes our enthusiasm to be fit and healthy can be taken badly by people who haven't gone through such drastic and serious changes in their lives. Don't let that keep you from reaching your goals and doing what you think is best for you!0
