Here Comes Summer - Week 3

Well here it is, we are now a quarter of the way through :flowerforyou:
Since we started i've lost 7lbs :drinker:
Can the rest of our group please post or PM me your current weight, so that we can see how everyone is getting on please.
I didn't get round to sorting out my home gym yesterday, I'm hoping I will get chance today, I'm trying to sell some of my clothes that are now too big for me on an auction site, and those that don't sell I will send to charity. Reason I am trying to sell them first is so that I can get money to replace them for smaller clothes. Usually I send all unwanted clothes to charity, but unfortunately i am still off sick from work, so needs must.
I'm also knitting smaller sweaters and cardigans for the winter - hoping it will give me the incentive to get down another couple of sizes by then

I hope its nice n sunny in Brighton for you!! Its cold, but the sun is out in Farnham.. sitting at my desk by the window!!
I have lost another lb, however i feel my muscle weight is setting me back, but i dont mind cause i know my clothes are fitting better! :happy: yey
I love the fact that you knit! i might have to get you to knit a cardi for me!! mmm cosy cosy! do you have n e pics of them?

OH btw... i did spinning last night...... :sick: its horrible!!! i will go again, try and ease myself into it, but its not nice at all!!

I'm not sure how I am doing as far at the scale. All I know I am yo-yoing AGAIN
Feb. 14 I weighed 165 and today I am 167. The only thing I can say is I am out of the 170's and that is a good thing.

I have gone from a size 14 - 12.. next stop is 10!! i will never be a size 8 :grumble: ...hips and bum inhertited from mother!!
Top half will be 10 - 12.. just depending on the sort of the top it is

hey girls...I am soooooooo hoping to get into 12's soon.........I am in that horrible transition stage of all my pants are saggy baggy but the next size down is sooooo not comfy, I do enjoy breathing sometimes....:laugh:

I finally saw that scale budge this morning!! 1 pound down 39ish more to go!!!

oh katherine...I got a little chuckle out of the size 8 becuase one of my sis in law was talking to my hubby and said that I seemed to be looking good...(that in itself is shocking...was that a....COMPLIMENT??? hee hee) She then asked what size I was of my wonderful husband said proudly that I was 14 ( he was pretty happy). She then said that I was probably going to stop soon....and he said just to be funny that oh I don't know I think she wants to get down to siz e8 ....:laugh: :laugh: :bigsmile: I wish I could have been there to see her face...then she proceded to say that well a size 12 should be sufficient there was nothing wrong with a size 12...and got all huff and then said that there would be no way I would ever be in a size 8....
HA Well if that wasn't just a kick in the pants to get going. I don't care if I am in an 8 for 4 hours in my life you can darn well know that I am going to show my stuff to her! tell me.....:grumble: :grumble:
needless to say I think I might be catching up to her size.....:bigsmile: :bigsmile:

Good morning Everyone!
Hope your all having a good morning (if your awake yet)!!
So im absolutely shattered this morning :yawn: , it was my tuesday evening stint last night... Boy do i ache right now!! :laugh:
Left work at 5pm and headed straight for the gym (got there 5.30) - 10 mins running at 6mph and then 5 mins at 4mph.. thats no biggy really.. but then when i went to Legs Bums and Tums at 6pm i officially started to feel the burn.. 1 hour session is more than enough!! Went home, had dinner and then went back to the gym (only to sit in the steam room and spa area!!) and didnt get to bed until 11pm (was watching shameless!!) :laugh: ...
....Needless to say getting up this morning was HORRIBLE! i ache sooo so much :sick: i wanted to stay curled up in a ball in bed!:bigsmile: Oh well!
I have decided againts going to the gym tonight.. i really cant face it!
Jenny.. you story amused me this morning! Put a smile on my face :happy: and whoo hoo for size 12's!!!

I believe I am back on track. My plate is full today but I am hoping to get in a walk at least.
I really have not had time to read the thread. I hope to do that and catch up on everyone.

Good morning Ladies, I hope you are all well? :flowerforyou:
The weather is rubbish down my neck of the woods ... Ooh well.. im inside a nice warm office so its ok!
Only just sat down to breakfast (been up since 6.45am) and its now 9.00am... had to set up a meeting with coffee etc..
Did go to the gym last night... i dont think my muscles could handle it.. i was in a lot of achy pain!!
Back to the gym today and then swimming tomorrow...
I notice my stomach was suprisingly flat this morning! whoopie.. bring on the high waisted trousers this morning!! :laugh:
How did you all get on yesterday?? :glasses:

I finally set up my gym :drinker: did an hour in there this morning - exercise bike, step machine, bun & thigh toner - funny I seem to only have equipment for my legs, really must sort that one out!
don't laugh girls, but I even put a comfy chair in the gym for my baby girl (storm the dog), she lay on it watching me exercise, I think she feels better that way as apposed to joining me on my walks :laugh:
Katherine - I don't usually take pics of my knitting, but I will from now on :flowerforyou: I'd love to knit for you, gives me something to do
I just finished a waistcoat - which is a size 12 - I'm not there yet, but here's to getting there :drinker:

feeling good today - stomach felt a bit odd after lunch... i put it down to the dodgy cup a soup i had... Not very nice!!! :sick: :sick:

Gym again tonight - still havent had my heart rate monitor sent through..:frown: so im kinda guessing how many cals im burning! seems to be working though!! :laugh:
My friend Abbie is doing Weight watchers at the moment and is getting increasingly discouraged about the lack of weight loss in the last couple of weeks. (first week she lost 8lbs) i told her it was mainly water weight thats why its so dramatic... oh well i am supporting her and making sure she sticks to her healthy ways! getting all the support on here makes everthing that little bit easier....

I completly agreewith you jackie...global warming ?????:noway: :noway: Not in Minnesota. THat is awesome about you getting your gym all set up...hee I woulnd't dream of laughing about your sweet little girl getting the best seat in the house...I would do that too! In fact silly as it sounds my little pixie has to wear little booties when it is winter.
katherine hope your friend can get passed the discouragement. I also have a good friend doing WW and she is gfetting discouraged...I am trying tokeep nher motivated. I guess that is all we can do.
I am going to go get a "birthday hair cut" against my hubby's wishes. I need a change of hair with my new body heehehe:bigsmile: I think it is going to be 6 inches off...I am not sure how to put that in metric for you Britains...:bigsmile: But it is a lot. We will see if I go through with it.

oh and I have my heart rate monitor for my bday and i LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hope yours comes in the mail!

GOOD MORNING!!!
First let me start by saying..... "whoopppiieeeee"... i managed to complete my Spinning session!!!.......
..........Okay.. so its only 15 mins... but the first time i did it i gave up... well last night i managed it! Needless to say my legs felt like jelly for the rest of the evening and i ended up walking like a duck.. Not the most attractive of looks i can tell you!! :laugh:
The rest of my work out was not as eventfull on the Cardio side... But i did complete all my weight training and core exercises!
Today im swimming :happy: with only half a day of work on friday.. (oh how i love the fact that i work for an American Company in the UK).. It has become a nice thing to do in the middle of the day!
Hope you all had lovely days yesterday and i look forward to hearing from you all!!
1 Last thing before i go...... I haven't had one slice of CAKE or any SWEETS/CANDY or a dunk of a BISCUIT in my tea.. and last of all my love of CHOCOLATE... NOTHING alllll week!! Yippeeee :drinker: :drinker:

:grumble: :grumble: So my sis took me out for dinner for my bday. The plan was to go to olive garden, stop gasping ahahaha I had looked up the cals and figured it in to my day ahahahah anyways it was sooooooooo packed and we had my little boy with so i told her to pick. She picked BONANZA which to those who have to clue what that is it is a buffet place. Did great with the salad....:grumble: :grumble: Did splurge on the baked potatoe...yum yum sour cream and everything but I said that was ok it was my bday....then :noway: :noway: The desert. YES:sad: :sad: :sad: the devil got me:devil: :devil: stupid cherry crisp with icecream and stupid bread pudding with ice cream.... *sigh* so as we were rolling out of the resturant i asked myself....why did do it? I kept eating even when I was FULL!!!! WHY DO WE DO THIS TO OURSELVES!!!!!!!!!!!:explode: :explode:
But today is another day I guess. Yesterday isn't going to break me but I didnt follow my plan. So today i am going to be a better girl!!!:blushing: :blushing:
But on a brighter note I got my hair CHOPPED and I love it! I got like 10 inches of, my hubby wasn't keen on it but this morning he touseled my hair and called me a cutie so I think he is coming around:bigsmile: What is best is that I get to donate my hair to Locks of LOve for cancer patients! I have always wanted to do it!!! I didn't really think about it and the guy asked me if I would be interested and I said OH YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS:bigsmile: :bigsmile: So I am really happy about that! Maybe I can forgive myself for the second desert....hee hee

I finally got back to the gym. I used my new Polar F6 Heart Rate Monitor. Boy, the machine. (like a stepper, they call it an Arc.) was way off on my calories burned. My HRM was half the amount. I was hoping the machines were less. Oh well, now I have an accurate count of calories burned.
What was nice is that I went from Arc, Elliptical, and treadmill and did not have to keep track in my head. I just stopped the HRM when I finished with all. I burned 412. The machines said about 800. That's a big difference when it comes to eating the exercise calories.

I've had to lay off the home gym for a couple of days, I really enjoyed using my bun and thigh toner, but I enjoyed it TOO much and tore a muscle in my leg
My scale is still lying to me, so I'm going to jack it in a and buy one of those body fat scales instead, so at least I can see the fat going if nothing else :laugh:
I know I've lost weight cos I bought a size 18 smart pair of trousers that fit lovely, I never dreamed of being under a size 20 again, but hey, I am :bigsmile:
Can't remember if I told you ladies or not, but I've started selling my old size 20, 22 and 24 clothes on an auction site - the bits that sell are paying for size 18 clothes and the ones that don't I'm giving to charity :happy:
Thanks to those who have posted their weights, still some outstanding, but I'll just post up the ones I have and go from there - the outstanding ones can add to it :flowerforyou:
Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend, remember to drink your water, and if you really, really want that extra cookie or chunk of chocolate, ask yourself this, how many calories, and is it really worth me indulging and then feeling bad later???
