I think I got a Subway sub once or twice, and that was many years ago. I'm thinking about trying them again, and I'm wondering what is a good, healthy option from there. Do they have wraps, or just sub rolls? Can any sub be a $5 food long, or just certain ones? Any other info is appreciated.

They have a calculator on the website where you can customize your sub anyway you want and it gives you the nutrion info. This is of course still an estimation since the person making your sub may have added an extra tomato or given you less of of them since veggies are measured but its close.

As for the $5 footlong on the website it tells you which ones are $5 right now. There is one shop near me that is still doing any footlong as $5 but its only the one place.

    Subway Recommendations
    Best Lunch/Dinner Choices
-Any of the Sandwiches in the “6 Grams of Fat or Less” Group (Ham, Oven Roasted Chicken Breast, Roast Beef, Club, Sweet Onion Teriyaki, Turkey Breast, Turkey Breast & Ham, Veggie Delite

*Note: Pile on the veggies, but leave out the extra sauces and condiments (like mayo and cheese). You can always use a wrap instead of bread (which will only save around 10 calories) but wheat bread isn’t a bad choice (although it is not whole wheat bread).

-Salads: I recommend any of the salads on the menu
*Note: Use Fat Free Italian Salad Dressing: 35 calories, 0g fat, 7g fat, 1g protein]

Kang 1526 is right about checking the stats behind the meal before making that order. As for me, I use nutritionix calculator (http://www.nutritionix.com)

    Hope this helps! :)
  • I'm looking at the website now, and it seems that the flatbread does save you a good amount of calories, and about half the carbs, which is worth it to me! I think I'm going to have to make a stop at my local Subway someday this week to try one out - Thanks for the input!
