Question - my sugar and protein have exceeded daily recommendations. However, all sugar (save for 1tsp of honey) have come from food sources like fruits, veggies, peanut butter, etc. Should I worry about it? Second part, my protein is also over but I have been eating low cholesterol using chicken and nuts. Should I be concerned?

Please feel free to look at my food diary. This is only my 3rd day on the program. Thanks!

Are you diabetic and/or do you have any insulin related medical conditions?

If the answer is yes: Then you should concern yourself about both sugar and carbohydrate limits in addition to staying under your calorie totals for the day.*

If the answer is no: You don't really need to worry about sugar intake*

    * In either case, we are assuming that your diet consists of mostly whole and nutrient dense foods and that your main source of carbs isn't snickers and gummy bears. If this assumption is false, fix it.

Lastly, MFP sets protein limits quite low. As long as you stay in your calorie totals and don't neglect dietary fat, you can exceed your protein limits.

I have been wondering the same thing! My protein has especially been over be/c of the nuts and sunflower seeds I've been snacking on and my carbs are close but over. I'm assuming if we stay at or below our calories and we eat healthier choices we will lose.. if we are going over be/c of cakes and cookies that would be bad
