I'm an HRM user (Polar F6). It's wonderful. You establish your heart health at the beginning of an exercise and it tells you where you need to keep your heart rate to burn the most calories that day.

The newer ones can upload data to the Polar website where you can keep better track of your exercising than just on the watch itself. Also, if your gym has machines from the last few years, the heartrate transmitter will send that info to the machine & display your heartrate instead of having to hold onto those pesky silver handholds.

I'm interested in figuring this out too.
I really want to track accurately how many calories i'm burning during my beachbody workouts.
I like the the fitbit syncs with myfitnesspal but it doesn't seem to me that its actually a HRM, more a pedometer

    thoughts?

Im getting that the fit bit is more of a fancy pedomitor. What im trying to find out if there is a heart rate monitor with a pedomitor built in. I want to track better, but I dont like rushing into a purchase like this. so far the biggest complaint of the fit bit is that it falls off and gets lost easliy. the heart rate monitors, people complain about the chest band.... more research to do.
