Exercise, Oxygen Level, after giving blood.

Do any of you have this problem? After giving blood my oxygen levels feel low. I can't workout near as hard for weeks. I do have asthma, which doesn't help, but anything that gets my heart rate up makes me feel like I'm going to run out of oxygen. It's so frustrating because I can't push near as hard as I normally do. I do the insanity workout and it makes it so much tougher. Any ideas on how to replenish the red blood cells faster? I want my oxygen back!

After you give blood your blood volume and red blood cells are reduced. The blood volume will be replaced within a couple of days. It will take up to six weeks to replace all the red blood cells.
So, for the next several weeks your blood's ability to transport oxygen to working muscles will be reduced.0
