Does FITBIT count steps taken? Do you recommend it?

Just wondering for anyone who has one. Does it count your steps?

    Yes it does. It counts your steps, the calories you burn and the miles you walk during the day. It also records your sleep at night, too. The new model also records how many flights of stairs you travel. I've had mine for over two years and I LOVE it.

    Thanks! I just may purchase one. I'd like the know the quality of my sleep too. Amazing that it can do that.

    you can now sync it with MFP too which is a reason why i am getting one for myself

    What can you do with syncing the two? I'm a little confused but it sounds awesome. I just ordered one, btw. Waiting for my husband to fuss at me. =O
