Eat good sources of protein to make energy last longer than simple carbs
Good first post, looks like you'll fit in well0 -
When I was starting to feel hungry for an entire week, I realized I was eating too few calories. I upped my calories (still low enough for weight loss) and lost almost an inch off my waist, even though I dropped only a pound or two.
Personally, for the most part, I'm eating whole foods, as opposed to much processed food. I made black bean soup, which is extremely filling and good for you. I found it in the 400 Calorie Fix cookbook. Another book I like is "Volumetrics" by B. Rolls (yes her name evokes food). The idea is to eat more food, but for fewer calories. So choose things that will give you enough to fill you up, while maintaining whatever calorie level you're going for. Both books have photos, and the Volumetrics photos are especially good, because they compare foods -- so you can see how choosing one option over another will give you a lot more food (volume).
Sort of like "Eat This, Not That." But I don't have an opinion on that one, since I haven't used it.
Good luck!0 -

Earlier today I read that we are not supposed to give advice.
Then how on earth will we all get our questions answered and figure out what's normal and what isn't? BOO! I like hearing others opinions. Maybe not everyone on here is smart enough to realize that we are just everyday people without ALL the info so its probably best not to take EVERYTHING to heart but sheesh....Ok...off my soap box.
In regards to this subject...having the same issue myself these first few days getting back in to the full swing of things. The vitamin D answer was a good thought though, my Dr. just put me on high does vit. D too & said it should help with this. BUT I'm no expert so it would probably be best to seek advice from the folks with the M.D. behind their names, they seem to know what's going on, besides, that's what they get paid the big bucks for. GOOD LUCK!!0 -
