Im Katie, Im 20 and Im looking to get abs

Hello,

my name is Katie and Im happy to be here. Im currently 120lbs - 122lbs and 5'6". I've always been on the petite side, though Im not really here to "lose weight" per say. Im mostly here to maintain my weight now that I've lost my fast metabolism and to also eat healthier. My main goal is to get abs, which as a female has not come easy for me.

I've heard you have to have a specific body type or that you have to be born with it as a female, so Im just hoping that I will be able to reach this goal. :( I see chicks all the time with abs, why can't I? how do I get this sort of V look by the way? Like the V-shape. Obliques training, or?
