SO frustrated!

So between last December and August I dropped 30 pounds FAST (given I was never extremely overweight to begin with. My highest was 156). So I got down to about 126, and was determined to get down to at least 100, which is a bit small for my 5-3 height. I started restricting like crazy and doing other crazy things to lose the weight, and people finally started to notice something was wrong. I was diagnosed with an eating disorder and put into therapy to help get me back on the right track. Eventually, I allowed myself to eat a bit more, and I was amazed when, within a few weeks of upping my calories, I dropped about 4 pounds! But then, it all changed.

Since this summer, I've put almost all the weight back on. I haven't stopped exercising and haven't stopped counting calories. I've gone through a few stages where I would almost fall back into my ED, but I always catch it. For the past month, I have been eating at least 1200 calories a day and exercising about 300-500 off. But I am STILL not losing ANY weight. I do NOT want to give up, but I'm just getting so discouraged with myself. I knew it was going to take a little bit for my body to readjust after everything I put it through, but I'm not sure how much longer I can put up with it. Does ANYONE have some advice? Or maybe an explanation? Anything?

Maybe your body is in some sort of starvation mode. If you are eating 1200 and burning 300-500 calories then you are only eating 700-900 calories and that is soooo not enough food! My advice would be to think healthy. We all want to be super model skinny but if we don't go about it in a healthy manner it can seriously backfire.

it might be that you arent eating enough - even though youre eating 1200, if youre burning up to 500 that only leaves 700 for your body to use - try to eat your exercise calories. you MIGHT gain a little bit at first - but give it at least two weeks (if not a month) to see if its really not working.. also make sure that your loss-per-week goal isnt set too high for you.
If you have 75+ lbs to lose 2 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 40-75 lbs to lose 1.5 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 25-40 lbs to lose 1 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 15 -25 lbs to lose 0.5 to 1.0 lbs/week is ideal, and
If you have less than 15 lbs to lose 0.5 lbs/week is ideal

This isn't advise but I gotta tell you I feel your pain. I was working out and eating right for weeks and weeks and saw nothing. I mean yeah my weight went up a pound then back dow. ough! But I had a bad 3 days where I ate like a normal person, not a calorie counting dieter calling it a lifesytle change, and I lost a pound. lol I weighed myself and expected to have gained 3 pounds and I lost one solid pound. It was kept off the next day and the next so it's a keeper! Just saying, maybe you need to jump start your metabolism.
