Weight loss from illness

Possibly and inane question, I realize, but:

I had a furious bout with a stomach virus, and I lost a few pounds (not surprising at all) -- obviously I focus on eating and rehydration, and don't count that as me "weigh in." However, I have my weekly weigh in coming up and was wondering if I should just give it a pass this week and let my body get back to equilibrium to see what, if any, "real" weight loss occurred with healthy eating and exercise before I got sick.

Or should I just record my weight as it is and accept that it may or may not be accurate? I'm okay with fluctuations, they don't throw me off.

What would you do?

I would record it anyways. I don't think it would hurt anything.

I would do the weigh in as usual. Maybe make a note in your tracker saying you were sick justin case you forget and wonder why there was a gain/huge loss. Also helps if you plateau and want to look through your diary for things to help.

I would record it and then try to hang onto it. The week after Christmas I had a nasty stomach but and the only good thing to come out of it was that I lost about 3 pounds. It totally kick started my motivation to get back on track from holiday overeating and I kept those pounds off and have been losing steadily again ever since.
