Its one of the BCAA's that help you recover from a workout. There won't be a noticeable difference, but it'll help.

Its not a BCAA. A BCAA (branch chain amino acid) is leucine, isoleucine, and valine. Glutamine is an an amino acid and will help with your immune system and digestive tract and perhaps muscle soreness.

Thanks for feedback. I have around 55lbs to lose and I exercise 5 x a week with a personal trainer. It's tough going. It was recommended to me to take this but I just want to ensure the weight loss at the same time. Is Glutamine going to make my muscles heavier which means heavier weight on the scales?

I just want to say that I"m training as part of Biggest Loser at my local gym. I want to nail it as it is based on body percentage weight loss, hence do not want heavier muscles!

Your trainer sold it to you? If they did, then it's for commission. Chances are that glutamine taken orally has a hard time making it into the muscle cells because up to 90% of it gets absorbed and utilized as energy. Save your money.

It was one of the group members. I checked it out with my trainer and then bought it elsewhere. I get your point, thanks! Seems like it is totally debatable when I do a google search. Hmmmmmm..... confusing!

You're right, you typically find them all together which confused me.
