Somewhere I read that generally men lose weight faster because generally they have more muscle than women and the way they broke it down: 1 pound of muscle burns 35 calories while 1 pound of fat burns 7 calories. I've increased my muscle mass and have noticed I can eat more, even if I don't work out, but if I don't work out, then I start accumulating fat (Maybe it's a which came first, the chicken or the egg question LOL). Anyway, I see truth in the statement, but wondering if anyone knows the accuracy of this and/or how that is supported? Thanks in advance!
