Hello-

I started MFP a few weeks ago and have been good about tracking my calories and getting a decent amount of protein. But I'm starting to get bored. I am trying to eat 5-6 meals per day, restrict my calories to 1200-1400 (depending on whether or not I exercise) + include 100-120g of protein . Each meal has a protein and a carb. Some of the meals have vegetables and fruits.

I give myself 1 cheat day a week and I know if I'm not careful, I can reverse all the hard work I do the other 6 days with a really bad cheat day. I'm starting to get bored and want variety in my diet. But the variety I think of involves lots of carbs, not so much protein. I am looking for snack and meal ideas please!

Thanks,
Shannon

    Hi Shannon!

Can you make your diary public so we can see what you've been eating and offer some alternatives? :) Hard to suggest things otherwise.

    Cheerio,
    Cathy

thank you for the websites and the ideas! My real challenge is finding low calorie, high protein, snacks/meals that I can realistically incorporate into my and my family's diet. Although I love to cook, I work 50 miles from home and time is an issue. I know my issues are not unique - nobody has enough time. I will check out the websites and try a few of the lunch and dinner ideas.
