Back to exercise after injury?

So, here is the situation - I fell down on ice a few days ago and sort of injured my tail bone. It hurt really really badly for the first two days (I couldn't sleep normally and everytime I sat down or got up I got a wish to scream out loud). Now it is getting a bit better, still hurts but it obviously wasn't a major injury since I don't feel as much pain anymore. The question is, when can or should I get back to exercise? Can I do it a day or two after it stops hurting or should I wait for some time?

I know this is a doctor question but I am probably not going to visit one as it is already getting better and I have been going about my days just the same anyhow. I would appreciate your advice!

Hello, I had a similar injury years ago, to the point of x-rays! I thought I had broke it. It is probably just bruised, which is what the Doc told me. I would give it about a week or two. It took me about a month to recover from my fall and for years after I could always tell you when it was going to rain because my butt bone would go to hurting. I would maybe start slowly when you do resume exercise, maybe a brisk walk and see how it goes the next day. Even walking was excruciating for me. Take some ibuprofen and give it a little time.....Sorry for your injury :(
