Good Morning everyone!
So I'm 5'10 181 lbs and looking to get to 160 (First Goal Weight) I've done this before...actually got to 150 and for me the key was RUNNING! I don't really love it but then again I guess I do...because its the only workout that really makes me feel like I'm doing something. I have goals this year...I want to run a 10K BUT I can't seem to get past the TERRBILE FEELING in my legs the first 5 minutes on that dang treadmill! Then when I hit 1 Mi Mark it HAPPENS AGAIN...and I keep trying to tell myself its mental.
Needless to say, I'm stuck at 1 Mi then I get off the treadmill, get on the Stationery Bike, Elliptical, then another mile on the treadmill. I want to break this habit!!!! I really need to be around 2 miles (straight) now considering I've been working out for a month...any advice from the runners in the group woulld be great!!!

Have you tried doing the Couch to 5K? That breaks the running times into smaller amounts at the beginning and then stretches into longer running times. I find it very easy to do. The last session I did was on Tuesday and I did three 8 minute runs and four 5 minute walks. Two weeks ago, I hated my 5 minute runs, Tuesday I could have easily run further and longer, but I didn't want to push too hard too fast. My next session is 20 minutes of running and I am looking forward to it.
I will say, on the days that I am doing the C25K, I eat a banana about 1 1/2-2 hours prior to heading to the gym. The carbs seem to make running easier for me.0
