30 Day Shred

I just started the 30 Day Shred yesterday and I really like it. It's really hard though. Does it get easier?

What week is everyone on? Do you do it every day?

I have a feeling that getting myself to do it every day is going to be hard, so I might try it 3 times a week. I want to try and do it every day because I think it'd be nice to see the transformation from when I started to when I stopped.

I am on Level 3 Day 27...never thought I would get this far. I have done it everyday since new years eve. Seeing results and liking what I see which is very motivating.

I feel like it does get a lot easier. Today will be Day 8 of Level 1 for me and I get through the workout with no problem. Some moves I still HATE, but I notice they have gotten much easier as I progress.

    Good luck!

Congratulations on making it that far. I can't wait to say the same! Have you lost pounds and inches?

I bought the DVD, and watched the first section of it while working out on my Gazelle.... Taking baby steps here.
I have back issues and the crunches are holding me back from going for it just quite yet.
But I'm gonna do it! I AM! I promise!

I did day 14 yesterday. I've taken 3 days off in between the 14 days of doing 30ds (2 of which I went to the gym and did cardio/strength there). I've been climbing my way up and started level 3 two days ago (and I'll probably go back and do level 1 and 2 a couple times in between level 3 days). It DEFINITELY gets easier as you go (until you start a new level). Stick with it! I can definitely tell that I've toned up a bit and I just feel better doing the workouts. Yesterday I did level 1 and 3 right after another (but I still count it as 1 day).

It does get 'easier' - it's always tough, but stick with it and you will be amazed at much more strength, endurance & flexibility you have even after the first week. I lost pounds and inches with it (and watching my diet) - had to go buy all new pants & shorts a couple of years ago! That was before I joined MFP - my ticker says I've lost 12lbs, but I had lost 12lb prior to signing up here. I slacked off & gained about 6lbs back, but got after it again and dropped another 12lbs. When I started 30DS I was at 162lbs, and with Jillian's various DVDs, I've gotten down to 143lbs.

Keep at it, do it as often as you can, remind yourself that it's ONLY 20 MINUTES! You can do it! As you progress through the Shred, mix it up with other workouts - I added her Banish Fat Boost Metabolism at some point, and now I have a stack of Jillian DVDs by my tv. When I'm consistent, I workout 5-6 days a week. Sometimes I only get 4 days, sometimes less - life happens. Stick with it, soon you'll be out buying heavier hand weights and more DVDs. And smaller clothes!

Keep at it!! It just takes a few times and then you'll feel much more comfortable. I'm on my second round of the 30DS, on the 4th day of Level 3.

Keep it up and you won't regret how you feel!

I have lost about 4 pounds I have not measured yet will on sunday - DAY 30. I do feel like I have toned up and lost inches - keeping my fingers crossed. They are some hard workouts like I said I didn't think I would last , I was kind of afraid that Jullian would be yelling but she surprised me and is very motiviting and supportive. I think that I am going to keep doing these workouts not sure how yet but I think at least 3 times a week. My 2 older grandkids (they are 12 & 8) wanted to watch me do a workout one sunday afternoon, they were shocked that Nana could do it. They said it looked hard and since I am old (51) they didn't think I could do it. I think that gave me some motivation knowing that they saw me a bit differently. So if this 51 yr old Nana can do it you can too :)

Thanks. I have lost 70 lbs it took me about 15 months and I want to take off another 20 lbs. I thought maybe doing the 30DS would get me over the hump I seem to be in. I posted a reply earlier but didn't do it right...sorry!

I've been using the shred in between other exercises, so not exclusively. I've definitely lost some weight and I think that the circuit system is really helpful. I like that it works you hard enough to feel it but not so hard that you can't do it again the next day. However, I don't know if it's because I'm not doing it every day or because I was only doing it twice a week and now I am doing it every day, but it seems to be getting harder rather than easier. It's a little discouraging, but I feel pretty confident that it is working. I yell at Jillian a lot while I'm doing it, but it's totally worth it in the end.
