I bought a pair of shorts and jeans for this summer in the size that I want to be. I am going to hang them on my wall until I can hang them in my closet.
I am at a plateau with my weight loss and I feel uneasy about that. I am just going to push through it though.

GOTTA KEEP MY EYE ON THE PRIZE.

(the pants are Abercrombie & Fitch, I bought them for $1.49..... What a steal).

Awesome idea! I should pull out the shorts I want to wear this summer and hang them up. Losing that incentive on this end, but I like your way of thinking.

Cool on the deal on shorts.

I have my "test shorts" and "skinny jeans" on my cedar chest in my bedroom. They are the pants and shorts that fit when I met hubby 9-10 years ago. Clothes are motivation for me, sad to say...thats what got me started on getting back into shape, when the "fat jeans" didn't fit anymore. Happy to say the jeans now fit...still working on the shorts:grumble: Where the heck did you get A&F pants for $1.49???? I must know!!!

I went to Goodwill. I always look at thrift stores. The jeans still had the original tag on them and everything!!!
I just go on the days they have their sales. I refuse to buy clothes (for myself) at department stores. Same goes for my hubby's work clothes. I just look for the right tags and get a good deal.

My kids I go both ways on. Play clothes come from thrift stores... I also find a lot of good deals on Craig's list and e-bay. I also do the garage sale thing on Thursdays with one of my girl friends and all of the kids (5 between the 2 of us... 4 under the age of 4. LOL.)

Ahh..goodwill. I have been to our local Goodwill and didn't see anything thrilling. But love Craigslist, use it all the time. I know what you mean about playclothes, I do a long distance exchange with my sister in California, she has a 5 year old son and a 5 month old son. Mine falls inbetween at 17 months,,,so my son has some of the 5 year old handme downs, her 5 month old has some of my sons handme downs ...and so on...now all I need is a girl to get my sisters 3 year old daughters hand me downs:laugh:

BTW..I noticed you are in MN. I think there are Once Upon A Child stores there...GREAT place for second hand kids clothes, you can get things for a really great price.
