I am trying to eat as clean and unproccessed as possible these days. I love canned green beans though. I eat them for lunch everyday almost. Do you think buying raw green beans and cooking them are going to give you that much more nutrients than a can of green beans? Is there that much difference in fresh and canned?

I also love canned green beans. What are your thoughts on frozen ones?0

You eliminate a lot of salt by buying fresh.
Even frozen is better. Tastes way better, too.
Canned veggies would be my last choice.....like if there was no power and you wanted to eat.0 -
Check the ingredients on the can, if they add salt to them...then fresh and cooking yourself would be better!0

I would say fresh is better of course or even frozen. Canned is better than nothing, but might contain sodium and could contain BPA leeching from the can, if you have any concerns about that. If I can't get fresh, I prefer frozen....just my 2 cents0

the difference is def. in the sodium0

There is a major difference. by all means go fresh or frozen. canned foods have already been cooked and lost nutrients and are normally packed in a salty bath. look at the ingredients on the can if it doesn't just say the item you are eating why put it in your body. also if you haven't read The eat Clean Diet by Rosca Tosa please do it is a good read and packed with information. another thing is to watch some documentaries on food ( on netflix) such as food inc., food matters, and tapped. If it is ur "thing:" to eat then at least get the nosugar/salt added kind or enjoy every once and awhile. You asked a good question:)0
