Yet another "help me set my macros" thread...

My stats are M, 250lbs, 5'8", diabetic, hypertensive.
I'm going to the gym 2-3 times a week, mild workout at present - just getting used to moving more. I usually spend 30 mins treadmill at 3.5mph, 3.0 incline, 10-15 mins on the eliptical or bikes, and light strength training.
Main goal is weight loss. Goal weight is 170lbs. I have no time goal set, just want to get there eventually.
I'm looking for safe and steady, no fad or ketogenic type plans.
I'm toying with three ideas:
The Zone: 40-30-30
Completely even: 33-33-33
Or maybe a moderate: 50-25-25
Does it really matter what I pick? Should I just try each one in turn and see what works? Or is one better than another for my current goal of weight loss?
