Hunger

I have been sticking to strict 1200 calories a day and add in more when I exercise. I have been super super hungry!!!! I have been drinking tons of water to try to keep me feeling full but I still feel starving. I am only 3 days in on this diet. Does it get any better or do I just have to suck it up and just ignore my hunger?
