Low Sodium Seasonings

I searched the boards, but didn't really find anything. I'm trying to watch my sodium intake and love using different seasonings on meat and veggies. I use the Good Seasons Italian Dressing dry mix in a few recipes and just noticed that it's around 2500 grams of sodium for the package!

What are some low-sodium seasonings that are available to swap for "normal" seasonings I may use on veggies/meat?

I get the Tone's Garlic Rosemary from Sam's Club and I order a lot from Frontier Co-op online (http://www.frontiercoop.com/products/spices.php). They have a bunch of no salt blends. The Extra Spicy Chili Powder is awesome! Their taco and Mexican seasonings are really good.

For those at the store you would have to stick with Mrs. Dash or go right to the real spices and make your own.

*disclaimer* I am a pampered chef consultant, so a lot of the things I use are pampered chef. It spills over.

Pampered Chef has some absolutely delish seasonings and sauces and a lot of them are low in sodium. If you want, I could PM you some of my favorites.

I adore Pampered Chef (just placed an order this weekend, in fact!) and would love you to PM me some stuff!

almost any seasoning that you buy by itself, and not in a blend is sodium free... Rosemary is my personal favorite... it adds a TON of flavor, I also use Mrs. Dash a lot and the sodium free Greek seasoning blend... and lemon juice... not sure if lemon juice has any sodium or not but I wouldn't think it would
  • Deffinitely try Mrs Dash no salt seasonings...they are the only ones I use
Depending on what your cooking you can buy bags of mixed celery, onions and peppers which will add great flavor also
