    Ok so we all know that running is better at fat burning than the elliptical but it isnt always possible. i suffer with a bad back and the elliptical is great when you have joint probs but to make it work you DOOOO have to keep the intensity high and really push hard I use mine in conjunction with skipping rope and running up and down the stairs so I get 3 mins each time which I have it on level 8 (mine only has 10 levels) my hubby can barely do this level and you have to concentrate on the correct motion then you have a brilliant fat burning tool I get my HR up to 85% max quite easily on the elliptical I just wish mine had and incline to make it more benificial.

    Dont knock the elliptical just use it correctly and prove these people they are wrong.
