I enjoy haveing cocktails with dinner. I'm new to this site and would like to know if there is a way to enter them as those "empty calories " add up. I would like to have a true read on that going into my first weekend and vacation going into this new website I found and want to LOSE WEIGHT and enjoy. Working out more to enjoy is OK.

You can quick enter calories and they'll appear as "empty" calories with no protein, fiber, carb, etc. content.
If you're wanting to lose weight, choose your cocktails carefully. A lot of the fruity, frothy ones can have hundreds of calories. Things like Pina Coladas can have 400++ calories.
After many, many years of deluding myself, I have finally learned that I won't lose a lot of weight if I hit the cocktails too often ... alcohol truly is empty calories, it lessens your inhibitions and resolve so you eat more, and your body metabolizes alcohol differently so it is harder to lose that weight.
That said, enjoy your weekend, but try to have a calorie free drink in between your cocktails!0 -
This explains it pretty well.

The biggest untruth is alcohol metabolizes into fat. It does not. Everything I have read says that when you drink, any protein, carbs and fat you happen to ingest will tend to get stored as fat.0
