Do you eat the calories you burn?

My recommended calories are a little above 1300. I have lost 41lbs over the last couple months only taking in 1200 or less and working out. I obviously don't want to put myself into a starvation mode, but can't seem to make myself take in more calories for what I have burned. I burn approximately 400-1000 calories 5-6 days a week at the gym. I am just curious what others are doing. I guess I am afraid that since I haven't been doing it, if I start I will gain weight. Thanks!
