I have an indoor bike trainer and recently got netflix instant. I'm looking for good, motivating tv shows/movies/anything really to keep myself from counting down the time. Anyone have any suggestions?

  • I (sometimes) watch a lot of shows and movies on Netflix :)

I think you should watch a movie called "Pyaar Impossible" Its actually a long movie, but entertaining! Its a foreign film (Bollywood to be precise) but all of it is in English. If your workouts are 1 hour each, once a day, it will take you about 3 days to get through the whole movie!

If you are into cheesy horror....tons of em!

I started watching Ghost Whisperer and Seinfeld...but it has been a while since I saw something on Netfliz, it might have changed...Good luck and I hope you find some good movies/shows :D

I watch NCIS or Friends episodes at the apartment complex gym.
  • House M.D., dunno why, but it keeps me motivated and interested.A good comedy show doesn't hurt either like its always sunny in philly, eastbound and down, south park, arrested development etc. How bout that scene in Forrest Gump where Forrest is running across the country with Running On Empty playing? Always pumps me up haha.

I started working out at home doing the same thing... watching Lost and Desperate Housewives on Netflix while I worked out on our elliptical machine. Then I bought a HRM and paid attention to what I was burning. Then I tried listening to music... BAM! I unintentionally burned almost twice as many calories that I was used to burning while watching one 45-minute episode. To each his or her own.

    :) Good luck!

i've gotten in a habit of watching the travel channel while on the elliptical....anthony bourdain eating strange foods, and man vs food where he eats obscene amounts of generally unhealthy things. i'm not sure why this appeals, there's a certain gross-out factor involved, i think.
