It was self-inflicted also..

SO's daughter needed to decorate 2 dozen cupcakes for a bake sale today. I know how to decorate cakes sort of..so I pipped nuclear waste signs on 2 dozen cupcakes. Also made buttercream frosting. I threw what was left out, and they were like..how can you do that. UM..I can stick it on my rear because that is where butter will go.

I hear ya.' Luckily, I used to bake semi-professionally (people paid me to do it, so I guess that counts) and I've come to detest the sight and smell of buttercream frosting. The only thing worse is cream-cheese frosting. It reminds me of greyish-white snot. I can eat either one on a cake (buttercream or cream cheese, that is, not snot), but show me a bowl of that nauseating, sugar laden garbage and I want to puke. Keeps me from being tempted, though.

Speaking of... did you all see that there is a new reality show coming on tv? It's overweight chefs and their challenges to losing weight. I think one at least is a baker. Congrats on having the courage to toss it out. I pitched a lot of left over frosting after Christmas and my husband and kids thought I was nuts!

Made my morning - thank you!

ps - I LOL'ed at the nuclear waste bit, not the straight-to-the-rear bit, which I can empathize with.

This is my biggest issue as well. My kid doesn't eat well, so I used to eat all her left overs. After all, I've been taught to always finish my food. Left overs are my biggest enemy!

Good for you to throw it out. I can understand how hard this must have been!

Buttercream frosting on your butt. Sounds like my Thursday night, too.

Well the cupcakes didn't tempt me. I eat Gluten Free and the side effects wouldn't be worth that one moment on my tongue.

I am tempted by wine and chocolate. Those are my two weaknesses.
