I don't write in forums very often but I wish I could join every single "weight-focused" website and "type at the top of my lungs" to go and purchase Marianne Williamson's "A COURSE IN WEIGHT LOSS".
This book is like nothing you have ever read before. For those of us who are calorie obsessed, weight and image obsessed, and hard on ourselves- your answer doesn't lie in MyFitnessPal. I love this site, but there is a greater help out there and it lies within the pages of this book.
I am not a spiritual person nor have I ever been a big "believer" in the Man upstairs. despite that, this book helps you see your weight loss journey in a COMPLETELY new way.
Interestingly enough, this book was written for Oprah (as the author and Oprah have a strong friendship). Oprah has stressed the importance of this book many times as being the biggest contributor to her final decision to stop letting food rule her life.
This book is ESPECIALLY helpful for those out there (like me) who tend to OVEREAT (binge) and then experience tremendous guilt.
I truly hope that you will consider purchasing this book and giving it a try. My personal favorite chapter is "Start a Love Affair with Food". That chapter changed my life. Sounds exaggerated- but I really mean it.
Best of luck to you all on your individual journies.![:) :)](https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Please let me know if you have already read this book, and what you thought of it.
