How do you keep it off??? I am very close to reaching my goal and am now worried about gaining it back. I feel like if I eat all of my allotted calories - I will gain my weight back!!! I am so scared of doing all this hard work just to put it all back on again. :grumble:

For those of you who have been successful - how are you doing now? Are you still using MFP to keep yourself on track? Have you gained any weight back? Are you still exercising? Drinking your water?? :drinker:

Any information would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks!! :flowerforyou:

My diet suggests that you add 50 calories to each snack every week. Of course, my snacks are small, only 100 calories twice per day so I'll basically end up with 5 full meals when I get that far.

How many meals vs snacks do you have right now?

The first time I lost all the weight I kept at my steady weight by just watching my portions and excercising 4-5 times a week. Obviously I didn't keep with it or I wouldn't be here :blushing:  but while I was just eating right/correct portions/and proper excercise, it DID stay off. :) And yes, lots of water!! Congrats on almost being there!!!!! :drinker:

I reached my goal about 7 or 8 months ago and I still use MFP.
I still work out 3-4 times a week and I, honestly, feel like MFP has changed my way of life.

I really do feel sluggish and gross if I don't work out, drink water and eat crap food. So I have to work out, drink water and eat healthy.

And I feel like my taste buds have changed too. I don't like a lot of (fatty) things I used to, however I still have a weakness for french fries. So, I still allow myself to give into my cravings, but I, mostly stick to the MFP plan.

And since the past 7 or 8 months, I've actually lost another 2 pounds and my body's become a lot more toned.

Congrats on almost getting to your goal and best of luck!

Make healthy living a lifestyle! Think of exercising like brushing your teeth....must do it every day. I think it is important to track you food intake from time to time to stay in check. Really think about what you are putting in...is it pleasure, mindless eating or is it fuel for your body. We are a society of fast food overeaters and you can see the results everywhere with that! I don't want a muffin top...just check out the young girls at Starbuck's getting their frappochino lattes (700 calories plus) hummmm...may explain that muffin top above their jeans.
Make your healthy body something you are proud of! You worked hard to get there and yes, you need to keep working hard to keep it off. Do it for the righ reasons , whatever they maybe for you! Food manufacturer's put crap in our food so we want more of it....and we get addicted to it...that's what their plan is to sell more to you....keep your food as whole and fresh as possible.
    You can do it girl!

I haven't reached my goal yet but I would highly recommend keep logging in your calories here and excersising. It comes back 2x as fast as it took to lose it. This is a lifestyle change!
