just starting out

Hello,
I'm Abby.
I'm 25 and weight 227 (eeek!) and am only 5'0.
I started myfitnesspal on 1/27.
My goal for now is 175, which is a 52lb weight loss.

I have been big most of my life, from about 6th grade on. I have tried loosing in the past, succeed in loosing in the past and failed at loosing in the past.

What do I want? To feel comfortable in my own skin, get more tattoos (right now the areas of my body i'd be comfortable showing are slim to none), and wear a smaller pant size.

I quit smoking over 2 years ago and think if I could do that, I can do anything.

Feel free to be my friend, I'll try to encourage and support anyone and hope you will do the same.

    I quit smoking in June 2010, I feel the same, If I can kick that nastiness, I can certainly improve my health and fitness level!

    I too just started my fitness pal about 4 days ago. Good for you to take a step forward to do something for your health. We are all in the same boat :) Keep it up!!
