Tracking non standard food

So a thing that has been keeping me from logging every meal is that sometimes I don't have something that can be easily typed in. For instance, today for a company lunch they brought in small tortillas and there was chicken/beef, pepper, and onion mix. Is there any advice about tracking things like this?

Another thing is when I go over to houses for small parties, there are appetizers. The easiest way to get around this is not to pig out on the appetizers, but if I do, how would I go about tracking this?
