Heart rate Monitor suggestions

I bought a Timex heartrate monitor when I first started working out, as it was rated very well in consumer reports and came with a low price. It did okay for the time being.
I am now looking for a new one, that is more accurate with my calories burned. I am looking at the Polar brand and would like some insight into which one to get and where to get it. I prefer to stay around $100 and not exceed about $150-ish. Feel free to suggest ANY one though.
Only requirement is it needs to be able to display calories burned.
