So my honey moved his hypnosis appointment to Thursday instead of Friday.....so he will be smoke free tomorrow I am hoping. I know that just because hypnosis worked for me does not mean it will work for him.......It is hard to stay smoke free with him smoking. We spent the day together today and it was hard to be around his smoking.....:smokin: It was hard to remember that I don't want to smoke and why....but I didn't...I think I am a bit *****ier then usual, but I am PMS'n too cause I am craving all the usual bad things...so I went out and got strawberries and orange so I could get the sugar cravings from those and not chocolate..I just hope that honey can actually quit.....I need him to quit.....want him to quit.......

Wish honey luck, he goes under tomorrow at 1:30pm Cali time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alright you all here is the ticker.............................:drinker:

Sassie - you can do this - even if he's smoking, you can still do it - think of it like eating right, even when others around are making all the bad food choices, you can still eat right! The same goes for not smoking. I know how difficult it is, just be strong - go with the bi#%!-iness if you have to. I am on MFP because when I quit smoking 2 years ago, I completely replaced it with eating. Now I am trying to lose the weight - But if someone told me today that I had to either keep the weight or go back to smoking - I would keep the weight! I promise it will be sooooooo worth it. You are doing great - keep it up, and yes - just keep remembering all the reasons you quit!

And hey - you've already saved enough money from not smoking to buy a new cool t-shirt or some workout clothes!

YYYYaaaaayyyyy Sassie!!!! And good luck to your honey too!

That is awesome!!!! GOOD FOR YOU!!
I'm on day 21, and to be honest if I wasn't too embarrassed to go to the store from my bawling my eyes out for hours I would have relapsed tonight.

I HIGHLY recommend you make a goal of doing something that you would not be able to do if you continued smoking. I think I mentioned this already, but for me, I am doing couch to 5k and I can not emphasize how much of a motivator it has been for me to stay smoke free. I have ALWAYS hated running, but have always wanted to be one of those people who love running. So I told myself I would try this 9 week program, and if I still hated it by then I could stop. After the 1st day I about died (only running 60 seconds max)! So I quit smoking knowing that I would never run if I added a 9th year of smoking a pack a day.. Today was my 3rd week (I repeated wk 1) and I ran 3 minutes straight without my lungs hurting! I know that sounds like nothing, but to me that is HUGE.

Sorry for the rambling! I'm just really excited that I actually quit, and I am actually running (sort of)!

Way to go! You'll be setting a good example for your future children. A nice, smoke free home is great, too. We don't even own an ashtray! Good luck on your journey.

That's great! Helps inspire me to do the same!
I have also made running my goal, because it not directly related to the scale and because it is something I never ever thought I could do or would enjoy. I'm also doing the couch to 5 K. I am on week 5 (i think it is) and I have also redone a few weeks. I just ran 8 minutes straight yesterday! It is getting easier and I am enjoying it, but I can't help but wonder how much easier it would be and how much faster I would improve if I could quit smoking. I have signed up for a half marathon with my mom in October and I need to be at the top of my game by then. Which I know includes quitting smoking. After all I don't want to make a fool out of myself.

Both of your stories are great sources of strength. Please continue to update us on your progress.
