caloric benefits to an AM workout?

Morning workouts are great for so many reasons. I feel great and have more energy throughout the day. Which got me thinking, if I have more energy than my metabolism is probably higher and that might cause me to burn more calories all day. Does anyone know? Just curious.

    I think that workout timing, along with meal timing, boils down to personal preference. I could be wrong though. :-)
