So I started this journey / lifestyle change in July but didn't take it seriously until October, I started losing a significant amount 10 # for the month, but I found that I just could not do some of the equipment at the gym, it hurt to much, I was too out of breath.
Sometime near the end of November , some things happened in my life that turned my world upside down and instead of focusing on my weight loss, I lost control, had no motivation...this lasted through December. Although I was going to the gym, logging had all but stopped....I would go to the gym when I just needed to get away - but nothing consistent.
Prior to that my total weight loss was 20 # which was a huge accomplishment...after the loss of motivation I gained 3 #'s..but that is where it stopped.
By the end of December I decided I was not going to let the trials and tribulations in my life control my weight and was sure not going to let the 20#'s I lost - creep back on my body..So my New Years Resolution this year was NOT to make a New Years Resolution , but I vowed to get back to what was working so well
Now to my NSV actually 2 of them....I have been going consistently to the gym taking days off only when I absolutely need to, while talking with people I have learned that it is best to change up your routine , I always had real trouble with the elliptical, but the other day...I said forget this, I am going to do it.....I got on but quit after 1 minute...
Today (here is where the NSV comes in) I started out on the treadmill, I did 10 minutes of intense high incline fast-paced walking, the machine automatically does a 5 minute cool down so I did that, and instead of walking to the weights......I decided to jump on the elliptical....I DID IT...it was only 5 minutes, but it was 5 minutes straight no stopping , not out of breath, I DID IT!!! I carried on with weights and returned back to the treadmill for another 15 minutes.
What a sense of accomplishment if only 5 minutes!!
The second NSV -- I signed my BF/ fiance up to join today....My whole family is starting to embrace the healthy lifestyle and I LOVE IT!!
Thanks for reading xo!
