Wondering if there are more folks out there that try to eat clean and want to be supportive friends for one another.

A little more about me......

I TRY to stay away from sugar/anything artificial/chemicals. I don't use the microwave at all. I rarely drink tap water. I try to buy organic when I can. My stomach is where most of my fat is and I am trying very hard to have it be smaller. The holidays set me back a bit and I am trying to get back on track 100%. I am getting there. I do my best to get on the elliptical on my lunch hour 5 days a week and love to get in a hike or two on the weekends. I need to incorporate more "regular" strength training. I want to look my best by May when my youngest graduates from high school. I tend to go back and forth. I do very well, then I fall off the wagon for a bit. My biggest weakness that I am currently trying to overcome is eating after dinner and before bed. Some days I am just starving only a few hours after dinner. Not sure what that is about. I try not to eat bad carbs and substitute the good ones when I can. I am currently looking at more of a plant based diet as I am learning that there are many cancers linked to meats. I am very conscious of "corn" and corn derivatives as it is in just about every single product out there. Some great movies to watch on Netflix if you have it available, Forks without Knives, Corn King, and of course Food is another.

I am all about personal development, doing everything i can to not just eat less portion-wise, but to eat "healthy" versions whenever I can.

Anyway...would love to have more friends :)
Chris

Hi Chris. I too eat clean and find I feel much better because of it. I workout 6 days a week. I do a combo of strength and cardio. There is a great website for eating clean recipes. It is called http://www. cleaneatingmag.com I love their recipes! They list all the nutrition stats with every recipe so you know exactly what you are getting into.
