Staying on track in Dublin Ireland?

I'm traveling to Dublin for a work conference and am notoriously bad for staying on track while traveling.
I already have packed a few go-to snacks for the plane ride and for the conference. But conference food, oh, its always so bad for you. Also, Dublin just makes me think of pubs, fish & chips, bangers & mash, and the like. Any advice? Suggestions? If you've ever been there, recommendations for places to eat would also be welcome!
(I have workout stuff with me, too, so that's good!)

I have not been to Dublin, but I have been to Limerick, Ireland.
They have wonderful steel cut oatmeal for breakfast - they just call it porridge Also, chicken curry is good (different than Indian chicken curry), and soups. . . they have the most wonderful soups in Ireland. And all their food less processed.

Hi! When is your trip? I may be too late with this response! I live in Dublin, and yes, it's tricky to eat healthy here…but not impossible. Go for soups. Ireland has fantastic soups and they typically aren't too heavy with cream/butter. You won't find a lot of fish on menus, unless it is fried…which is strange considering Ireland is an island. Most pub menus offer salads and some sort of roast chicken dish.
Restaurants:
Cornucopia - vegetarian and whole foods restaurant in city centre…amazing, delicious, huge portions though.
Blazing Salads - wholefood deli in city centre. fantastic soups and salads, plenty of sugar free breads to choose from.
Avoca Cafe - plenty of healthy options in this well known cafe…plus the shop downstairs from the restaurants has great Irish products and gifts!
Have fun in Dublin!0 -
I have family in Dublin, and it just makes me think of full Irish breakfasts - rashers and sausages!
I don't think one weekend will do any harm, just avoid too much Guinness it's like a meal in a glass :drinker:0
