Made these last night. OMG SO delicious! I used butterscotch baking chips instead of chocolate though.
Using the picture from the site because mine came out similar, and my phone camera isnt the best xD

Yield: About 10 cookies, depending on size
1 cup oats
1/2 cup protein powder of choice
1/4 cup peanut butter
1 egg
2 Tbsp agave nectar (or honey)
1/4 cup chocolate chips
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Combine all ingredients in a single bowl. Stir to combine.
3. Spoon out balls onto greased baking sheet and form into cookies. Bake for 5-8 minutes, depending on size of cookies.
Mine came out to:
Calories: 117 Protein: 7 Fat: 5 Carbs:13

Quick oats or regular oats? Or steel cut oats?0
-
Quick oats would work the best :]0

The butterscotch chips would actually probably make numbers better... these look yummy!0 -
I thought I read on my internet forays (I could be completely remembering this wrong so please correct me) that heating protein powder isn't a good idea because it "denatures" it or something and changes the effectiveness?0
-
Well denaturing really doesn't have much of an effect I would think. You denature an egg by scrambling/frying/cooking ^-^0

That is very true. I heat natural foods with protein all the time, but I didn't know if the powder was "special" somehow in that respect as I am not very familiar with it. Also, like I said, I could be wrong about the completely random thing I may or may not have read... to put it into perspective I often go on such forays during the wee hours of the morning ::cough:: 3am ::cough:: LOL0 -
Thanks! These look Yummy!0

Worth a try! I would think so, I would just split the recipe into 2 and check online for a heat comparison :]0 -
Looks yummy! I'll be trying this, but without the honey/agave nectar because I don't have it and I usually omit sugar in most recipes anyways. Thanks0
