I started getting serious at the beginning of January. been going to the gym about four to five times a week, staying within my calories. I started losing slowly and was very excited. my last weigh in was over a week ago, and I've weighed myself since and have been bouncing between the same weight and higher weight by 2-3 lbs! I'm still going to the gym, doing about an hour of cardio, this week I added in the 30 day shred.. I'm so discouraged!! I have about 70lbs to lose and as of this morning I'm only down about 7 and can't help but feel so frustrated that I'm working so hard with barely any result. I've measured myself as well and I am not really losing there either! I lost about a half inch to an inch in my thighs but that's been it, hips waist bust and arms have stayed pretty much the same! I don't know what else to do..

there is a good chance I do have thyroid problems and last night my throat started feeling very very sore too on the right side. and I'm due for my time of the month as well, as of Wednesday (three days ago) and it still hasn't showed. I was trying to pass some gain off on bloating and all of that and hoped the weight would go back down once it came, but it hasn't showed yet.

Get your thyroid checked out. It could be contributing to the lack of weight loss. Also, you may be gaining muscle from working out whick weighs more than fat. Check out the nutrition reports on this site. I was under my calories every day, but when I checked the reports for sodium, Ouch! High sodium can definitely contribute to the lack of weight loss.

I'd go with it being linked to time of the month - I hold several pounds for about a week before I am due. But its also worth getting your thyroid checked out if you feel it could be that. Is there family history?

Say focused, there will be slow times but you will get results.
