Hey... so, at the moment I'm the cook on a small farm in Italy. I cook healthily, but vast amounts (which I can deal with)
BUT ( a big but... and butt)
I also have to bake pastries and desserts every day as well. And I have the sweetest set of fangs in the world. How on earth do you deal with this? I just do not have the self control to say no.
How do you guys cope when you're around delicious, delicious food all day?

I wonder that myself. I think the Food Network is running a new show about overweight chefs. It will be interesting to see how they handle it.

I'm thinking about going to cooking school but just don't know because of this very reason, would like to hear how others deal!

    I want your job!

I am not a chef by trade but I cook at home allllllll the time. And yes, it's hard. :( How do I cope? Well, it's been 2 months of a plateau so um, don't ask me.

    *bump*

    Aaaaand a shameless bump.

I do have an awesome job... but only for a month, then I have to go back to my real life. Still not sure how I'll fit back as a 9-5er.

To go back to cooking, though. For me, I don't really struggle with the savoury stuff and I cook healthily too. I bake my own whole wheat bread, use only fresh produce which is grown on the farm. All that stuff. I don't really have cravings for fatty, fried cheesy things which is good. But the baking kills me.
I'm wondering if people work in professional kitchens then maybe it's not so bad... you probably don't really have time to scarf down an entire batch of muffins. Ahem. Not, of course, that I've ever done that.
