calorie intake question!

so, I eat about 1500 net cals a day. this has been working fine for me... the slow but steady route. and I always feel like I'm eating enough, I don't feel starved or deprived.
Howeveerrrr I'm going on a bikini-involving-vacation the 3rd week in February...!!
I know I'm not going to hit my goal weight in this amount of time, but do you think it would be possible to "speed things up" for just a little while in preparation for this trip?!! (I sound so shallow, I know).
For instance, if I ate at 1200 net/day until that week, would I lose faster? It would only be temporary, then I would be back to my slow & steady ways.
Just not sure if this is 1) necessarily feasible (I'm about 8lbs away from goal) or 2) healthy for the metabolism I've been trying to stoke with the higher cal intake
advice is appreciated

do what weightlifters do before competition.
Cut carbs to 100g a day and drink tons of water.
Up protein and essential fats to give you some energy but you will feel miserable.
sometimes being in a bikini with a little extra weight isnt so bad.
People really dont care as long as you look comfortable and are having fun!0 -
The week before Christmas, I did about 2 hours of hard exercise every day (with additional walking on top), while sticking to 1200 calories or less and managed to lose 4lbs! I only did this as I wanted to be able to eat what I felt like over Christmas, but never thought I would lose that much! By official weigh in day, it only translated to a 1.5lbs loss as I really went to town on the Christmas food! But it was totally worth it!!!0
