So i have friend who has stopped eating pork and it's been a little over 2 months now and she actually looks like she has lost about 10-15 lbs. Has anyone noticed a change in weight or overall health after letting pork go? Curious

adding or subtracting only one food and changing nothing else will not do much unless she was a true porker...i.e. only ate pork and nothing else
she must have also changed a few other things as well0 -
Nothing specifically special about pork. Like most meats, it depends on the cut.
Pork loin or well trimmed chop? Lo-cal, Hi protein, Lo-fat goody goody.
Pork Sausage? You might as well sit down with a 5 gallon bucket of lard and a spoon.
What was your pal eating? What did they replace it with?0 -
Dave's right. Eliminating a single food, or adding one will not have any real impact on weight loss. In the end, it's all about calories in vrs calories out. If she cut out pork and instead started eating spinach, she created a deficit and that caused the weight loss. If she had replaced it with chocolate, it would have had the opposite impact.0
