Why not try cycling?

Cycling is a great way to enjoy the outdoors and burn a lot of calories. 1 hour and 30 minutes at 16-20 mph and I burned over 1100 calories. 1 hour and 30 minutes indoors on the trainer and I burned over 1000 calories. I really enjoyed my eggs, waffles and bacon at dinner time and still had calories left.Give cycling a try and you just might get hooked on it like me.

i use the bike at the gym and its the best way i can get a full hour in. my knees don't like much impact, so its PERFECT! its such a great workout, i feel so accomplished at each little milestone and "halfway" point. the bikes at my gym only go to 62 minutes though, but i love it!

Cycling is my favorite outdoor activity! I have a Trek 7.3 FX hybrid (in my pics) that I ride on the longest paved trail in the state. It's so much fun! It's the best low impact activity I can do that I actually love!

  • I wish my gym had a bike that feels like a bike. If that makes sense. The only ones they have are the sitting back with your feet in front of you kinds. I like to feel like I'm on a real bike and pretend I'm biking somewhere other than inside!

My husband rides his bike to and from his office every day--rain, snow, hundred degree weather. He loves it.

Mainly because I don't want to tangle with traffic. Bad enough sometimes just when I'm out walking.

I used to cycle around a bit, but now it's only on vacations where there's a trail and you can bring or rent a bike.

Enjoy your cycling though! I'm always really careful of cyclists when I'm on the road, unlike some drivers who either under or overcompensate when they see a cyclist in their lane.
