I am recovering from bi-lateral tibial stress fractures and need some ideas for cardio workouts that my legs can handle! I am out of the walking boots and can stand and bounce on my legs, but can't run yet. Does anyone have any ideas? I am specifically looking for good mat workout dvds. I love Jillian Michaels but my legs aren't ready for all of the jogging and hopping. Anyone know of any good dvds with lower impact cardio but that still burn fat and/or build muscle?

Thanks for any suggestions!

row machine, also go ask a real doctor.
  • Row machine is a great idea, thank you!

And yes, I did ask my doctor. He cleared me for any exercise other than running for this stage in my recovery. I am struggling to find work out dvds that have low impact cardio. Perhaps I should have made that more clear.

Shadow boxing is good low impact way to get and keep the heart rate up...especially if you add some weights.
