Is anyone else surprised by the amount of food you get when you weigh it?? I have been eating 100 g of chicken and 100 g rice and 100g veg and it feels like so much food! Who else is using a scale?

I agree. It is amazing how much food you can get all while keeping it within good limits. What I've noticed, though, more than anything, is that it has to be the RIGHT kind of food...hehehe.

I almost died of shock when I first used scales. Peeled a few potatoes, put them on the scales...600g!!!!!!!!!!

it's varying for me. I have previously been eyeballing stuff or using measuring cups.. but have gotten a set of scales and noticed that I had been overestimating some stuff and well underestimating others. I guess it was balancing out though :)

I did , but I was not surprise about how much. I was shock about how horrible my measuring skills are.

It turns out that what I thought was 8 to 9 oz , was really 6oz..

I only use scale when I'm cooking pasta, rice and yogurt cakes, when I'm tracking I try to estimate the weight of the food I eat, for example a portion of chicken is about 150g, vegetables usually 100g, etc :)
