Hi everyone! I just joined the site yesterday after a few weeks of trying to do my own calorie count and excersice routine. This is all very new to me, as i have not had to worry about my weight in the past. I never watched what I ate at all, and stayed slender..that is until having children. I have two wonderful sons 8mos and 3yrs old. It seemed like by the time i began losing the weight from my first pregnancy..I was pregnant once again LOL. I had a doctors appointment recently and heard a word I thought I would never hear.."Overweight" =/ I welcome any new friends or advise. I am not one to be obsessed with being a certain size, I just want to be healthy and sexy (yes I admit that!) I also have many family members who are not eating well, and I would like to show them it is possible, and of course be a healthy example for my children =)

    Welcome! I haven't posted anything til today, but have been here since January 1 or 2, logging my meals. I have been counting calories plus cutting carbs quite a bit. I am very insulin resistant but didn't realize how bad my diabetes had gotten til I got my labwork back last time. I had been working on cutting things out for a few months before that. I know I had lost about 10 or more
    lbs by january and since the scary dr. appt, have lost 22 more pounds in the month of January so slow and steady. I'm glad you are addressing your weight before it gets too bad. It's really hard to lose when you get older and if you've gone up and down the scale through your life. I've never been one steady weight, it's always fluctuated alot, so this is challenging.     I started taking myself in hand about 3 weeks ago.
    My little boy is now 3 1/2 and my weight has steadily gone up and up since he was born
    I have spent too long eating and drinking far too much
    In 3 weeks I have lost 10lbs but have over 4 stone to go
    Hold to Disneyland in June and I'd love to wear a bikini
    From past attempts I tend to lose motivation after a couple of months do I could do with some support

    welcome. you can add me add as freind if you would like.Have lots of knowledge, but haven't been very god at putting it to use.But I plan to change that once and for all.Good luck and don't get depressed if you stray.
  • I am new here too. I have been trying to lose the weight by myself but I think that it might be easier knowing that I have support here and that I can support others too.
