Do you drop weight fast after gorging on vacation?

OK....so I jumped on the train of the New Years diet as many people do! My weight goes up and down like a yo-yo...not a lot, but enough. So from Jan 1 to Jan 14, I lost 3 lbs, went on vacation (all inclusive mind you) and ate and drank whatever I wanted so I gained 4 lbs in like a week. Then from like the 20th through today I dropped 5 lbs after my 1200-1300 cal diet and working out for about an hour a day. Is that ok? Should I be eating more or did I just lose a lot cuz it was such a drastic change from vacation? Thanks!!!

You're probably right if you think you're getting enough food (not hungry not sick feeling pretty good). I've found that as well. I use to find it incredibly easy to loose weight when my eating was all over the place.0 -
I wouldn't say that I'm not hungry, I'm hungry different times throughout the day, but try to stay between the 1200 - 1300 calories consumed.0

I always say if you're hungry, eat! Just try to stick to real foods when you're 'snacking'....or chocolate...mmmm dark chocolate :P </cheat>
There's lots of people who are loosing weight here who never go hungry. I think everyone should be that way. With that said, I've hardly eaten 1200 calories lately and I just haven't been hungry.0 -
Are you eating more when when you workout? If you are exercising for an hour a day then 1200-1300 calories may not be enough.
Having said that, I went on a cruise this summer, I came back up around 2 pounds, the following week I was down 6. I assumed the up two just wasn't a real weight gain, the following weeks I was back to around 2 pounds a week.0 -
I am not eating more when I work out. I keep getting mixed message on whether or not I'm supposed to eat back my exercise calories. I'm going to see how this week goes, if I lose 2 or more lbs (which I doubt I will), I'm going to eat more cuz I don't want my body to go into survival mode. With how much I ate and drank (margaritas and that blended **** is FULL of calories), I can't believe I didn't gain MORE than 4 lbs! UGH!0
